SketchUp is the intuitive 3D modeling software that allows you to create and edit 2D and 3D models with a patented method. Formerly Google SketchUp. It is used to quickly conceptualize volumes and architectural forms that can be stored in a database or georeferenced and placed on Google Earth images.
Why and how to use?
SketchUp is an image processing program used for a wide variety of 3D modeling projects such as architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and video game design, to name just a few. of its uses. There are three versions of SketchUp that meet specific needs. Among them :
• SketchUp Make: free downloadable program for personal and educational purposes;
• SketchUp Free: this version of the application is also unprofessional and allows to create and visualize 3D models for personal use;
• SketchUp Pro: This is the most advanced version of SketchUp. This tool is packed with additional features such as the ability to import and export different file formats, access 2D documentation software, or create custom 3D modeling styles.
To use the free web application, users need a Timble ID. In the toolbar on the left, you can click on one of these three tabs to start drawing your own template. The Push and Pull tool allows designers to extrude any flat surface into 3D shapes. In other words, using the software is simply clicking on an object and then dragging it until you want what you see.
